Land · Water · Community
TERRA works alongside rural communities to bring degraded land back to life — reforestation, water, and the livelihoods that grow from both.
The case for repair
A third of the world’s land is degraded — soil that no longer holds water, slopes that no longer hold soil. It is reversible. With the right hands and enough patience, land comes back.

A valley restored — Rift highlands, year seven
Our work
Listen first. Plant second. Measure everything. Then hand the work back to the people who will carry it.

Native species on degraded slopes, raised in village nurseries and tended by local crews for the years it takes to take.
Springs and streams brought back, so that whole valleys downstream have water through the dry season again.
Trees paired with crops, so the land pays its way and families have a reason to keep it standing.
The forest came back faster than anyone said it would. Now the spring runs in March again — my grandmother remembers when it stopped.
