TERRA began with a single hillside and a stubborn idea: that the people who depend on land are the ones best placed to heal it. We don’t parachute in. We hire locally, plan together, and stay for the long arc that real restoration takes.

Today we work across nine countries, but the method is unchanged — listen first, plant second, measure everything, and hand the work back to the community that will carry it. Restoration only holds when the people living with it have a reason to keep it standing.

Hand it back

Land and nurseries pass to community trusts. We aim, always, to make ourselves unnecessary.
